so, i'm blogging from work, while my manager is out for her four-hour-long lunch break.

let me show you what's getting me through work these days:

http://ferryhalim.com/orisinal/

it's shocking how brain-numbingly addictive these games are. the cute, blurry and fluffy graphics really do help transport you to another world, the world in which you are NOT at work. but it's always when you're about to break your highscore that some damned customer will walk into your shop, and you will have to stand and say, with a smile, "hello, can i help you?" when all you really want to say is, "fksdjhfkjsdhfjksdhfkdjskhfs". anyway, if you, like me, have nothing better to do with your life, you can check out the website.

in less than four hours, i will be be sending germaine off at the airport. how upsetting. people always say "we'll keep in touch!" and "nothing's going to change!", but distance takes its toll on every relationship, no matter how strong. it's scary how we're all slowly parting ways. ten years later, you very probably might be saying, "sarah? sarah who?". as everyone knows, the only constant in life is change. our innate ability to adapt helps us deal, but very often, it makes us leave something priceless behind without our knowing it. so, my (slightly cliched) food for thought today would be, cherish what you have today, for tomorrow could deal you something a lot worse.

as a random closing statement, i'm wearing green today to show my support for the environment in an utterly pointless way. but please do support Live Earth. it's your planet too!
